Many will say that we all worship the same god just in different ways.
Other say that only the Jews and the Christians worship the same god.
But the truth is that the Christians don't worship the same god as the Jews and the world does not worship the same god just in different ways.
The Christian God is revealed to us in the Old Testiment. He came to earth as a man as our Messiah. The one who would be the ultimate sacrifice for sin is revealed in the New Testiment. The Christian God was, is, and is yet to come. The Jews believe he was and is yet to come, and the world does not believe He is. The Christian God created everything, came to earth to die for sins, and will come at the end of days. The Jews beleieve he created everything but hasn't come to save the world yet. The rest of the world does not believe he exists at all.
Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Our Works WILL NOT make us clean. Only the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is enough to wash away our sins and make us worthy in the eyes of God so that we may saved from His judgment.
