Imaam Hasan (as) and Imaam Husain (as) are brothers in whom the Imaamat continued and after them the Imaamat will never occur in between two brothers till the Day of Qayaamat. Maulaana 'Ali (as) is their father. According to Isma'ili Faatemi Taiyebi Sect, Imaam Hasan (as) is the first Faatemi Imaam and Imaam Husain (as) is the second Imaam. The Imaamat will remain on the surface of this world in the progeny of Imaam Husain (as) till the day of Qayaamat. The world is existing only because the Imaamat from their progeny is alive on this earth. As Allah says in the Qur'an, "My land never remains empty of My Hujjat" - who is the Imaam in the progeny of Imaam Husain (as). Imaam Hasan was chronically poisoned by his wife Ja'daa bin 'Ash'Ash (La'natullahe 'alayhe). Imaam Husain (as) was Martyred in Karbala along with his 72 companions in 61 AH on 10th Moharram ul-Haraam.
