trail drive
Yes they can, that's the whole point of a trail horse, a trail horse is a horse used to go on trail rides.
The purpose of them is Trail riding horses because they are better than any other breed of horse on the trail. They also are used as Rodeo horses as well.
I have owned dozens of mustangs and use them to trail ride with handicapped children. They make awesome trail horses that become very lovable and friendly horses. There size makes them a great choice for trail riding. The cost is perfect for lower income people to get into riding. Mustang horses are known for being strong small horses (averaging 14-15 hands). They live in tough terain, so they are stong, sure footed and have strong hooves; they are great trail horses!

Generally, yes. They are hardy, somewhat surefooted, and smart.
The Dead Horse Trail or Dead Horse Pass was a nickname for White Pass during the Klondike Gold Rush. It was named this because so many pack horses died on the attempt to cross over the pass. Horses were dead along side the trail and sometimes the dead horses were trampled right into the dirt and mud as thousands of people and horses walked over their remains on the trail. Some estimates say over 30,000 horses dies there.
The purpose of them is Trail riding horses because they are better than any other breed of horse on the trail. They also are used as Rodeo horses as well.
