David Letterman has been a TV Show host for well over a decade. Lady Gaga has been in the music industry publicly for a little over 4 years. Lady Gaga is in the media more often than David Letterman. Since she is known on more worldwide, I would say Lady Gaga. She is known all over the world for her music and outlandish style of clothing. Whereas, David Letterman is mainly known in the US.

For the older generation, David Lettermen. For the younger, Lady Gaga. Overall, in today's day and age, I would have to say Lady Gaga...she's got so much exposure, on tabloids, magazine, the internet, YouTube etc. etc.
