There was no single design. Depending on when the bills were printed they had an allegorical image of a woman, images from mythology, and even George Washington.

Each state in the Confederacy issued its own bills so there was a huge variety of designs and denominations. Many $50 bills had a picture of the Confederate president Jefferson Davis, but others carried allegorical scenes, state officials, etc.
