Actually, it is pretty much undecided. They have yet to actually fight in the show. In the manga (SPOILER ALERT) they have a brief encounter and there was no absolute answer to who was more powerful. Naruto may have the Kyubi (and now in the manga he's almost to a point where he can fully control it) but he also has a feeling of kinship with Sasuke, where as Sasuke is fully willing to kill Naruto. The curse seal is gone from Sasuke but he now has Itachi's power added to his own.
As the fight in the first Naruto series ended in pretty much a draw (though Sasuke had the chance to kill Naruto) they have both improved at the same rate and therefor it would be easy to presume that they are both equally powerful.

In the sasuke retrieval arc, the goal is to stop sasuke. Sasuke ignored naruto, who told him about the other 4 ninja (Shikamaru, Neji, Kiba and Choji) risking their lives to save him. Sasuke disregards it (jerk!) and keeps going. Naruto then tries to stop sasuke by beating him up.
