Who is noahtok?

I don't know a whole lot. I began researching Noahtok after my son named our puppy Noahtok a few days ago. So far I have found that he is a character from Avatar: Legend of Korra that plays on Nicklelodeon. It seems he is approximately 11 years old and has a younger brother Tarrlok. And possibly an abusive father.
