Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III, 57, of Danville, Calif., was the pilot of US Airways Flight 1549 that laned in the Hudson River on January 15th, 2009. All 155 passengers aboard the flight were rescued from the freezing waters. The cause of the crash was due to the planes colliding with a flock of birds just minutes after takeoff. Sully was a former Air Force fighter pilot who is also the president of Safety Reliability Methods, a safety consulting firm.
