The head of the Garda Síochána, Ireland's national police service, is known as the Garda Commissioner. As of my last training cut-off in October 2023, the Garda Commissioner is Drew Harris, who has held the position since September 2018. The Commissioner is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Garda and reports to the Minister for Justice.
