The poems included in the collection are EXPRESS HIGHWAY, MALAYALAM, KAVI(POET), PUKAYILA PADAM, NILASPARSHAM, ACHAN , AMMAYUM KUNHUM ,PALAM, etc.He writes in periodicals also. His poetry belongs to nature poetry. His poems won many awards in poetry recitation competitions. His poetry is rhythemic and written in free verse. It is mainly about the village life. There is an element of nostalgia in his poetry. He was the Chief Editor of a Magazine published by GHSS Irikkur on October 2, 2007. In this Magazine another Poet from the same School published his poem about Mahathma Gandhi. It is celeberated as his masterpiece. As a poet Sri.Malappattam Gangadharan tries to give support to other fledgeling poets also.
