Joseph Kabila Kabange is the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC, formerly Zaire, formerly the Belgian Congo; not to be confused with the neighbouring Republic of Congo formerly French Congo) in 2013.

He took the office in 2001 January 26 after the assassination of his father - DRC president Laurent-Désiré Kabila. In the general election of July 2006, Joseph Kabila was elected to office. He was subsequently re-elected in 2011.
