He is the head of our state, however he does not have much power in our constitution. He represents Trinidad and Tobago in foreign affairs and also communicates to other heads of states. He is a figure head of a sort, he does not involve himself to much in government, the people really and truly, have respect for him, but will favor any prime minister any day anytime.
Presently our president George Maxwell Richards, is a real party man with a good sense of humor, in Trnindad we have parties called "fetes" and he attends all the posh ones!
Basically put he lives a lavished lifestyle funded by the state, although the Official Presidents house needs repairs (the roof collapsed), he his access to private cottages, state residents, personal body guards, a fleet of private vehicles and much more.
