I think you must mean Clark Gable. He was one of the biggest stars in the 30's to the 50's. He was in the blockbuster of his time Gone with the Wind. He was married to another star Carol Lombard. I think he died of cancer sometime in the 1960's. He was considered the rugged man's man type of actor. Brad Pitt looks a bit like him in his newest movie that is soon to be out.
