The main antagonist through out The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the Sauron (aka the Lord of the Rings, literally). However, there is also Saruman of Many Colors to be reckoned with, as well as the nine Nazgul.

What is the villain's name in Lord of the Rings trilogy?

The first dark lord is Morgoth, who destroyed the two trees of Valinor and was the one who mutated the Elves into orcs. If you are looking for more information, try reading the Silmarilion. However, as the question states "in Lord of the Rings" the first Dark Lord would be Sauron. Saruman tried to become a dark lord by taking the ring, but failed to acquire it. Who was the hero of ''aladdin''?

AladdinThis isn't always a hard and fast rule, but it's pretty close; I can't offhand think of a work specifically named for a character in it where that character is NOT the protagonist (I'm sure that some exist, but the closest I can come off the top of my head is The Lord of the Rings, where "the Lord of the Rings" is a reference to Sauron, who is the main antagonist, and even there the full title is "The Downfall of the Lord of the Rings and the Return of the King").
