Lucario- he gets stronger for getting hit
There is no 'best' brawl character. It is all on how you use it and your technique with using your character choice. In my opinion, I believe that Ike may be the best character, because even though Lucario (as many say is the best) gets stronger with more damage, you don't necessarily want to take any damage at all, so Lucario starts out weaker, but Ike is strong all the way, and if he is used correctly, is probably the strongest opponent on the battle field (in relation to his speed).
