Rainsford is a dynamic character. At the beginning of the story "The Most Dangerous Game," he is a skilled hunter who shows little empathy for the animals he hunts. However, through his experiences on Ship-Trap Island and being hunted himself, Rainsford undergoes a significant transformation in his beliefs and actions.
Is when the author speaks with a certain character
General Zaroff
General Zaroff is the the static character because he doesn't really change throughout the story. When Rainsford first meets him, he is amoral and would do anything for the "thrill of the hunt". Later on in the story, he is still amoral and would do anything for a good hunt. He is not a dynamic character because during the story he does not realize that his ideal "game" is wrong.
In "The Most Dangerous Game," the main character, Rainsford, undergoes significant changes throughout the story. Initially, he views hunting as a sport and feels no empathy for the animals he hunts. However, after being hunted himself by General Zaroff, Rainsford experiences fear, empathy, and a desire to survive, which transforms him into a more thoughtful and cautious individual by the end of the story.
Lazarus is General Zaroffs Favorite hound in the pack.
