I personally think that Greeni (the unborn green dragon) seeing as he's going to be male, it's most likely going to be Saphira's mate, therefore the rider has to be female as the dragon's feelings will transfer to the rider, who will fall for Eragon.
The most likely candidate is Arya, as she is an elf and already a possible romantic interest. Others include;
Elva, as she's already very powerful
Nasuada, as she's very skilled and another romantic interest for Eragon
or it could be another character completely.
