Sikhs believe God is like anything in the universe that has life. As a Sikh I think god is the most powerful than any other king.He blesses everything in the universe and is always there to protect and forgive anyone for whatever mistake they have made. This is how I describe God as a Sikh.
Sikhs believe there is only one God. You may be getting confused with the Gurus who were sent by God to teach the Sikhs.ANS-2: Sikhs belive in single all mighty GOD called EK ONKAR. The ten GURUs of Sikhs are considered as (GURUs) TEACHERS only and not GOD.
Sikhs believe that there is only one god. They believe that he is the Supreme being whose name is true. However, Sikhs do also believe in ten gurus and then the Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.The word guru means teacher. The eleven gurus are not god, they are believed to be the sons of god. Those that allowed Sikhs to come into realisation and discover this faith and mostly discover the existence of god.
Sikhs do not define "their god" as a separate god than the God worshipped by all other faiths. They believe in "Ik Onkar" (One God). Sikhs generally call Him "Vaheguru" (Wonderful Teacher). Although other names, like "Rab" are used at times. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the holy Book and spiritual ruler of the Sikhs, uses many names for Him, including Muslim and Hindu names like "Allah", "Ram", "Shiva" etc.
They believe in one God.
Sikhs are monotheists; their name for God is usually translated as The True Name. (This is very similar to, though not drawn from, the Hebrew use of Ha-Shem.)

The principal belief of Sikhism is faith in waheguru-represented using the sacred symbol of ēk ōaṅkār, the Universal God. Sikhism advocates the pursuit of salvation through disciplined, personal meditation on the name and message of God. A key distinctive feature of Sikhism is a non-anthropomorphic concept of God, to the extent that one can interpret God as the Universe itself. (sourse wikipedia)
