the story behind it:
Uranus ruled at first, before he was over thrown by his son, Kronos or Cronos. Kronos ruled on from then, but when he had children he was afraid they would grow up to overthrow him. So Kronos swallowed his children. Rhea finally took her newborn son to Gaia were they hid him, while Rhea gave Kronos a rock as her child.
The child they hid was named Zeus. He grew up, and made Kronos vomit his brothers and sisters up. then they did just what he was afraid of, they sent him to tartarus.
From then on, Zues ruled.
