There is little information on the type of leader he is as the country is completely isolated from the outside world. Kim Jong-il are describe to be paranoid by his Japanese Cook when he saw what happen in Romania in 1989 the downfall of the Romania communist government. Therefore he use all method of suppress dissent. Sometime public execution, putting people in Gulag and cut off all available way for it citizen to get access to foreign information. He also use media to portray him self as God and is describe to have a cult personality. In North Korea's media his birth sound like the Birth of Jesus saying his mother was a Virgin and weather change as he was born. He also rarely meet foreign diplomat and rare pay state visit. The only country he travel to is China and Russia.
He also been described to love Basketball and watch Hollywood and loves Bordeaux wine. He also loves making movies and design majority of the uniform now use my the army.
