The wives are not wives with each other. They are just married to the same man.
It was a decesion from man that they took multiple wives in the Bible. God allowed men to have multiple wives in the Old Testament eventhough God intended only one wife for a man originally. It was Lamech who is from the lineage of Cain took two wives (Gen 4:19). The New Testament does not allow multiple wives (1 Cor 7:49; 1Tim 3:2,12; Matt 19:5-9)
