Who is the ministry of public works in US?

While other countries, especially England, have ministries, the United States does not. Rather, the president selects what are called "cabinet secretaries," who are in charge of such things as transportation, commerce, health and human services, agriculture, etc. So, much of what the Ministry of Public Works does in some countries (promoting improvements in infrastructure, for example) is handled in the USA by the Secretary of Transportation-- the current person who holds that post is Mr. Anthony Foxx.
