the most important person in church is the priest
That depends on the church.
If it is catholic, it is the pope who lives in Vatican City, Rome who is the most important person.
If it is Church of England, it is the current monarch who is the most important person.
The other aspects of Christianity I don't know.
Christians believe that God or the Holy Spirit/Ghost is with us in church anyway, so they would be the most important person.
Roman Catholic AnswerIn a sense the priest is the most important person in any Church, since he is another Christ. He is the human vehicle through which Our Blessed Lord communicates His Love and Forgiveness, His Grace, and His Sacraments to each of us. God could have done this in any way He chose, but He chose to do it through the priests. To the extent that they represent and act for God, then, indeed, they are the most important person in the Church.Satan! HIs seat is at the head of most all Christian Churches. Jesus reveals this in the Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ. (Njbsam)
