They haven't decided yet. The director for the first movie is going to be Jim Sheridan, the script for that movie is basically finished, and they claim to be progressing toward casting right now. Also, supposedly the movies are set to be shot in Ireland, and I know actor Aidan Mitchell has expressed an interest in playing Artemis Fowl. That was a couple of years ago, though, and no major casting has been announced yet.
