Raoul Viscount of Chagny-(Patrick Wilson)He is the old man. He is there to place the monkey music box on Christine's grave, for she had asked before she had died to buy it. Monkey music box belong to the Phantom from his earliest childhood.
At the credits at the end:)
I was able to dicuss with the producers of phantom of the opera and they said they did not plan to know where he went after he left the fire at the opera, but if he was to go somewhere, he would go to another opera, try to find another place to hide,or just roam wherever he pleased, i believe that he would roam wherever he wanted because when he was n the opera he did not leave, and at the end of the movie it showed one of his roses on the cement block of Christine daae's grave.
Love Never Dies is the only sequel to the Phantom of the Opera. It is at the Adelphi Theatre in London's West End.
Personally I think Gerard Butler did a pretty good job in the 2004 movie, however on stage Michael Crawford was brilliant in the original cast of Phantom, But also Ramin Karimloo who currently is playing Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webbers sequel Love Never Dies, played Phantom in the West End's production of Phantom of the Opera and cameo'd Christine's father in the 2004 movie Phantom of the Opera. He gives an breathtaking performance of Phantom in both Phantom and Love Never Dies and has a truly amazing voice.
Raoul is her childhood sweetheart who comes back into her life. But she kisses the Phantom at the end!
no one in the movie the mob tries to kill him because they think he killed Christine but in the end of the movie he let rauol and Christine go and Christine comes back and gives him the ring back basically showing the phantom she doesnt love him like that and the phantom cries and then he dissapered and they never found him
Christine goes to have some "lone time" at her father's grave; the Phantom appears and begins to hypnotise her with music once more; Raoul appears, breaking her trance; he and the Phantom duel, and the Phantom is disarmed; Christine pleads for Raoul to spare his life; they leave and the Phantom declares war for both of them. Also at the end of the movie, we see Raoul going to Christine's grave. He sets a music box with a monkey on her grave. When he turns to leave he sees a rose with a black ribbon and a ring. It shows that the phantom was visiting her grave too. Sincerely, Phantomfreak6377
I thought the girl would end up with the phantom, so I was really surprised when she didn't.
It was first performed on London's West End
The cemetery depicted at the end (as well as the beginning) of the movie, is The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in France.
The Phantom of the Opera was first performed as a musical in the West End in 1986. It then went on to open on Broadway in 1988.
