FOREVER YOUNG was written by Rod Stewart, Jim Cregan and Kevin Savigar, but was really a rewrite of the original Who_wrote_the_song_forever_youngof the same name by Bob Dylan.

Rod had written the lyrics as a reference to his children growing up too fast, something he had missed with all the touring at that time, but had unconsciously drawn on the Bob Dylan song when he wrote it. This issue has been settled amicably between the writers.
