Peter Charles Paire O'Neill is the current Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea.

Peter O'Neill was first appointed to the position of Prime Minister on 2011 August 2, by Governor General Sir Michael Ogio due to an extended illness of Prime Minister Sir Michael Thomas Somare. However, the Supreme court ruled this appointment unconstitutional.

Somare later officially resigned, and O'Neill was officially made Prime Minister on 2012 August 4.
