In the first game, Mia appears and she is mentioned, but you do not use her in any trials. However, in the third game, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations, you play as her as a defense attorney in case one and four; these are the only times where you can play as Mia.
The "Ace Attorney" series consists of five main parts: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Introduces the main character, defense attorney Phoenix Wright, as he defends clients in various murder trials. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All - Continues Phoenix's story with new cases and introduces new gameplay mechanics. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations - Concludes the original trilogy, featuring deeper character development and intertwined storylines. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - Introduces a new protagonist, Apollo Justice, and shifts the focus to a new generation of lawyers. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies - Marks Phoenix's return as the lead, featuring new gameplay elements and a focus on the courtroom drama.
Currently, there are four Ace Attorney games: 1. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 2. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All 3. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations 4. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Recently, the release of a fifth game has been announced, yet again where the protagonist is Phoenix; however, the game is set one year after the Apollo Justice game and Phoenix is a much older guy. There are also two games in the Miles Edgeworth Investigation series, which is simply where Edgeworth is the protagonist and you investigate crimes without going to court.
Phoenix Wright: Ace attorney takes place in 2016. Justice For All takes place in 2017. Trials & Tribulations takes place in 2018 and sometimes in other years like 2013. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney takes place in 2025. Incase anyone is wondering, these times are based around the fact that the DL-6 incident (the one with the elevator, the bailiff and the spirit medium) happened in 2001. 2001+15=2016.
Phoenix Apollo Wright. Ironic, isn't it?
In the "Phoenix Wright" games, Miles Edgeworth, initially a rival prosecutor to Phoenix Wright, undergoes significant character development. Throughout the series, he grapples with his ideals about justice and the legal system, leading him to question his previous ruthless approach to prosecution. In later games, he ultimately embraces a more balanced view of justice, becoming a key ally to Phoenix. Edgeworth's journey reflects themes of redemption and the complexities of morality within the legal framework.

Phoenix wright is a game distributed by Capcom, you play as the defence attorney Phoenix Wright. This may sound boring but trust me it isn't I have every phoenix wright game and I'm going to start the Apollo justice ones as well. In all three games you will have to solve trials with the investigation system its kind of like prof Layton except without all the puzzles. In the third game you will have the chance to play as three different attorneys naturally Phoenix wright in the present, Mia Fey Phoenix's mentor in the past because she dies in the first game and finally Miles Edgeworth Phoenix's rival and friend since grade school technically he's a prosecutor but in the last case Phoenix falls of a bridge while trying to save his alleged girl friend Maya Fey from certain death Phoenix does live but he cant attend the first part of the trial so Edgeworth steps in. The main part of this game is finding contradictions which can be difficult sometimes and to make things even more difficult they have a penalization system if you get it wrong you get a penalty not good if you receive to many penalties game over
