Sleep Country's response is obviously "spin". If they were truly trying for a "more contemporary look", they would not have selected a Mary Kae Irvin look-alike. Jessica looks so similar, at first I thought they were just re-playing a several year old commercial. If you were not a regular watcher, or commercial "junkie" like me, you might not be sure there was a change. Swannie - Vancouver I wrote Sleep Country USA with this very same question. The change was made November 13th 2007. According to a Sleep Country representitive, it was time to update their ads with a more "comtemporary look". Enter "Jessica". Mary Kae Irvin is concentrating on her active career. She has an impressive resume of regional voice overs and commercials. She has also had some experience in movies and resently played a realtor in Grey's Anatomy.
