There is more then 1 Archangel. Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Selaphiel, Jegudiel, and Barachiel are the 7 Archangels mentioned in the Old Testament's. Some people also believe Lucifer as being a Archangel because of his history as being god's favorite and being the only one allowed into god's throne to watch over humans.

the person before me wrote this, and is wrong. he was one of the only 3 angels ever spoken about in The Bible but he wasnt the strongest. in fact, he was the weakest of the three (still a very powerful angel). the most powerful angel was Lucifer. however since technically he is the devil now it would have to be Michael. Michael became the leader of gods army after Lucifer refused to bow before man. (side note, Michael was the first angel to bow)

Lucifer, however, was said to be God's most powerful Archangel, even a seraphim by some accounts (extremely powerful being who is devoted utterly to God). However with the Fall from Grace and banishment to Hell Lucifer no longer remains so.
Other contenders for the strongest angel in order are:
Archangel Metatron (Possibly the strongest contender)
Arch Angel Uriel
Arch Angel Raphael.
Although it is also important to point out that any Archangel is probably going to be VERY powerful.
