Edward Glen voiced Thomas in the final, released version of the film. Yet, in an unreleased Director's Cut of the movie, an Isle of Man Taxi Driver John Bellis was chosen to originally voice Thomas. Yet, when the test audience viewed the Director's Cut, one of the many changes the studio demanded was that Britt Allcroft recast John Bellis and find a replacement. Edward Glen ended up being that replacement, and became the voice of Thomas in the final, released product of Thomas and the Magic Railroad!!
