It was members of the military escort that killed Ninoy.
Originally the murder was blamed on some criminal (Rolando Galman) whose bullet riddled corpse was left on the tarmac for all to see.
The only problem was that even though he was shot many times there was little or no blood. This indicates that the body was already dead when it was riddled.
The assassination was ordered by Danding Cojuangco, a relative of Ninoy as confessed by the assassin Pablo Martinez.
Evidently Ferdinand was livid when he heard of the incident.
