∙ 13y agoNo, he doesn't tell his friends. Even after they are married, they consider it prudent not to tell anyone besides the friar and nurse. That is why when Tybalt insults Romeo and calls him a villain, and Romeo responds mildly, Mercutio says, "O calm, dishonourable, vile submission" since he doesn't know that Romeo and Tybalt are now related by marriage.
