Nerds are very popular candy for Halloween. So is bubble gum. Lollipops are the best bet since everybody likes them.
Halloween is celebrated a)because it is socially acceptable, b) because it is a good excuse to eat candy, c) because everybody likes a good scare, d) it is fun to Trick-or-Treat, and e) because it is fun to dress up in a costume.
