Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe that their church is a restoration of the original New Testament Christian Church founded by Jesus Christ during his mortal ministry. Mormons believe that the doctrine and authority of this original church was restored to Joseph Smith by Jesus Christ and other Biblical authorities.

So, some may answer 'Jesus' and some may answer 'Joseph Smith'. They are both correct, because it was Jesus acting through Joseph Smith.
