John Smith.
If there was one it probably came from Prince Henry's map school and he had aPortuguese pilot who sort of had a map, but they had an incomplete map, didn't they? I don't remember reading that he had a map because he had to keep taking readings and his journals don't tell of a map.
what was the mayflower used for be for the pilgrams used it??????
Yes--both. Early escape maps were made of silk. Later, maps were made of made of rayon. However it was common to call these "silk maps".The escape maps were carried by bomber pilots in case they got shot down. The cloth maps were marked with road and ocean currents to aid in their escape and evasion.
The Mayflower was used to get the pilgrims to America. If you heard of Christopher Columbus then you heard of pilgrims and if you heard of pilgrims you heard of the Mayflower.

The Mayflower was manufactured in England. It was built in Harwich, England. If you go there to catch the Ferry to Amsterdam, they have billboards all about building the Mayflower in the Ferry station.
