Basically, they took long thin branches and wove them together and then over the top they smeared a mud, feces, and straw mixture over the branches. On top of that they did a white wash. The roof was made of thatch. Inside there was one fireplace, and the floor was dirt.
Medieval people didn't clean their homes their floors were made out of hay and discarded bones rubbish and excrement's. The housewives would push this out on to the street twice a year.
