They made the places where they lived themselves. The houses were made of wattle and daub. Basically, they took long thin branches and wove them together and then over the top they smeared a mud, feces, and straw mixture over the branches. On top of that they did a white wash. The roof was made of thatch. Inside there was one fireplace, and the floor was dirt.
