They were made by both Daisy and Crosman. Any BB gun model starting with 799 was a Daisy and any BB gun starting with model number 126 was a Crosman.

Does the sears bb gun use a different size bb then the modern bb?

There WERE BB guns that used an .11 caliber BB, instead of the common .177 caliber, but unsure if Sears may have sold some of them. A standard BB will not fit in the barrel of the .11 caliber guns. Unfortunately, do not know of any company still making the miniatures. It is possible that individual pellets of birdshot MAY be usable- #6 is about .12 caliber, so would be smaller than that. MOST Sears BB guns used regular BBs.

Even the JC Higgins air guns (BB Guns) were all made by Daisy or Crosman air gun company. The same went for Wards.
