I think blacksmiths made the armor by blacksmithing, which was illegal because (i think) it was the armor they produced. They armor wasnt hard and only took a few days to make unlike whitesmithing. Go to www.livesteelarmor.com/how/cas.cas.htm

Let's just say they weren't "knights in shining armor", most knights were not quote end quote wealthy; the middle ages were a dark time, and being a knight was not as glamorous as we in the twenty first century make it out to be.

Some were, most were ordinary people.
During the middle ages, knights were expected to be chivalrous and truthful. they were to serve and protect the people, the monarch and the country.
The heaviest armor in history is believed to be the Gothic plate armor worn by knights during the late Middle Ages. It was formidable due to its thick steel plates, which provided excellent protection against weapons like swords and arrows. Additionally, the armor was designed to distribute the weight evenly across the body, allowing knights to move more freely in battle.
