I have Browning gun and i want learn if my gun is from belgium or from japan?
Most Browning guns were made in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale (FN) until the mid 1970s when some production was shifted to Miroku in Japan. Today's Browning firearms are made in either Belgium, Portugal, Japan or in the United States.

First lets start with the fact that the Browning auto-5 Magnum was made from 1958-1976 in Belgium. After words the Auto-5 magnum was made by Miroku of Japan for Browning from 1976-1995.If your shotgun was made in Belgium,it should have a suffix to the serial number of 8V or 9V etc.If your shotgun nwas made in Japan then it should have a 2 letter code in the serial number sequence. It may be that if you do not have either then you do not have a Magnum version of the auto-5 shotgun. Please re-check your serial number and info on the receiver and repost your question to get the correct year of production.
