Chris Whitten, the Founder of WikiAnswers, originally had a set of rules when WikiAnswers was FAQ Farm. When Chris sold FAQ Farm to the Answers Corp., the Answers Corp. made a Terms of Use document that were more legally adept than those made by Chris, so it was a combination of the two rule creators that made WikiAnswers' rules. We have various guidelines pertaining to community issues available in the Help Center. These were authored by the Community Development, oftentimes in close collaboration with the contributor community at large.

You cannot delete your question on WikiAnswers. As long as it isn't against the rules on WikiAnswers, your question will stay. Even if you did make an error, as long as it is legitimate, it will stay. However, you can consult a supervisor about getting rid of a question if you do not want it to be on WikiAnswers.

Wikipedia is a different company; I do not know their site rules. WikiAnswers is now displayed under one name: Answers.com The site rules are in the Help Center. If you break the rules, your account can be blocked.
