Most firearms are made in special factories all over the world. In fact, during WWII, the US Government asked several factories to create firearms for the war effort. Most notable was the Singer Corporation, which usually makes sewing machines. During the war, companies like Singer built firearms for US troops. Some of these weapons are rare and have considerable collectors' value. I personally own firearms built in the Philippine Islands, Argentina and Spain, as well as in the US.
