also some other people who are not as well known like linux, minx and others.
and millions of people and companies make software. eveything that you download is software.
Computers are made of many different parts and companies (for example Dell, HP, Apple, or even individuals) assemble all the computer parts together to make a computer.
Main parts of a computer include;
CPU; The primary manufactures of desktop CPU are Intel and AMD.
Hard Disk; The primary manufactures are Seagate, Western Digital and Samsung. (Companies Seagate makes all the parts of the Hard Drive, Western Digital outsources some of the parts from other companies, and Samsung currently outsources all the parts of the Hard drive and assembles them togther)
Motherboard; For example Foxconn, Gigabyte, Asus. They make the actual board but many buy most of the parts from other manufactures (for example they get the northbridge and southbridge chipsets from companies like Intel, AMD and Nvidia), Asus get their motherboard capacitors from Fujitsu), Foxconn also sells some of the motherboard input devices to other companies too.
Video Card; Primarily manufactured by the same companies that manufacture motherboards. They outsource the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) from companies like Nvidia and ATI (owned by AMD) who in turn outsource the actual manufacturing of the GPU to companies like TSMC and graphics memory from companies that make computer memory (e.g. Samsung)
Memory; Companies include Kingston, Geil, Corsair, Mushkin and many more. Some of these memory manufactures actually just by memory and rebrand it (usually after testing).
PSU (Power Supply Unit); Literally hundreds of companies like Superflower, Coolermaster, Antec, Corsair and many generic PSU manufacturers
Cases; Literally hundred of companies, to many to name. Some examples include Antec and Coolermaster
Computer Monitors; Many companies like Chimei, Samsung, Dell, Asus, Acer and Viewsonic. Note some of these companies just buy the computer monitor panels from other manufactures and rebrand them.
As you can see you can't just say who makes the computer product, as there and literally hundreds of different companies that are involved in making computer products.
Many different computers use central processing units (CPUs) from many manufacturers. Most personal computers (desktops and laptops) use CPUs made by either Intel or AMD. Other manufacturers of microprocessors include Siemens, NEC, Freescale (formerly Motorola,) and Sun.
There are many companies that make computer hardware but some of the more popular companies include Acer Products, Asus Products, EMachines, Samsung Computers, Toshiba Brands, and Microsoft Hardware.
Lots, Dell/alienware, Apple, IBM, LG, Toshiba, I think samsung, you may as well just go on the pcworld website or currys or any computer store site.
Well, there's Dell, HP, Apple, Toshiba and plenty more.

ada lovelace worked with charles babbage to make the first computer programme
There is endless dispute as to who made the first computer, most of it arising from different ideas of what features a machine must have to be considered a "computer". There are many different devices that have been called the "first computer", so it is impossible to identify a single individual who was the first person to make one.
