Vinyl siding is a flexible, plastic material shaped to look like painted wood siding. Almost every home that isn't brick, stone or stucco has vinyl or aluminum siding. You rarely see anyone install aluminum siding any more because vinyl keeps its looks longer and needs virtually no maintenance.Unless you prefer (or can afford) brick or stone, your builder is probably suggesting the right choice. If you go into any home improvement store, such as Menards or Lowes, you can ask to be shown vinyl siding and they will be glad to show you and answer your questions. If you're unable to do that, you can go to their websites: menards.com or Lowes.com, and look up 'vinyl siding'. I bet you'll love your home's new look!
Fiber cement and vinyl siding are popular choices for brick houses due to their aesthetic appeal and durability. Fiber cement siding offers a natural wood-like appearance and is resistant to rot and pests. Vinyl siding is low maintenance, comes in various colors and styles, and is durable against weather elements. Both options can enhance the look of a brick house while providing long-lasting protection.
YES Good Idea. You can remove the siding or go right up against it. I don't know your area but I suggest a 2 inch foam board be placed between the brick and wall. == It would be better in the long run to remove the old siding, since it may have damp and mold and you would not like to trap that inside your brickwork.

Cedar siding isn't hard to install at all. It is a little like installing roof shingles. It just takes a little more work than using vinyl or aluminum siding. But the difference in looks are worth it.
It looks like clay and if heated even more may become a viscous fluid
Kenny Watson says Birmingham looks like a city of red brick, black overcoats, rain, and despair.
Asbestos siding looks like flat, rectangular panels with a textured surface that resembles wood grain or a rough texture. To identify it on your property, look for these panels that are typically gray or white in color and may have visible fibers. If you suspect you have asbestos siding, it is important to have it tested by a professional before taking any action.
