To begin, E-Cigs fall into three major categories:
1) Dime Store (or very low quality units): mostly found at convenient stores, discount stores, and some larger retailers. Avg cost 10.00 +
2) Entry level units, such as the Ego series by Joyetech, mostly found at specialty shops. Avg cost 50.00 +
3) Custom units, such as the Vamo ZMax, etc. These are only found at specialty shops and are normally large units with variable voltage, wattage, rebuildable variable resistance heads. Avg cost 100.00 +
I've only tried 2 entry level units; Blu and an NJoy; both were a waste of money and I tossed them within hours of trying them.
After that bad experience I visited a specialty shop and spent a few hours with them learning about these things. I then bought an eGo-T v2 kit with Nova tanks. The shop custom mixed my flavors to taste almost exactly like what I was smoking (and that was the last day I smoked). The eGo system is a good entry level system if you can get the shop to mix your flavor, and you want to quit smoking.
Since then I have bought a modded ZMax system (and more nova tanks). The ZMax is by far superior to the eGo units, but the price reflects this. The Vamo is for all purposes the same type of unit and works very well, but it is also expensive (to start out with).
In the end the unit is only a small part of the whole package, it is my opinion that the juice is the most important part of the setup. Everyone I know who has stopped smoking (a lot of folks) have used the eGo system, and later upgraded to these other systems. They will all tell you that the juice is everything.
