The momentum of the planets (centrifugal force) revolving around the sun is in a constant battle with the gravity of the sun which is trying to attract it (centripetal force).

The centrifugal force wants to take off into space in a straight line, but the sun keeps dragging it back.

It's a battle between the centrifugal force trying to escape VS the sun's gravity.

Over the last 'jillion' years or so, the planets have reached an equilibrium of the forces.

SO the planet just keep revolving away.

Where did the sun moves?

The sun moves in straight line and the planets move around it in spiral way

Are you moving around the sun or it is the sun that moves around the planets?

The planets are considered moving around the sun, even though the sun moves too (in tiny circles opposite the planets' motions). The planets are circling the sun. The sun (dragging the planets along with it) is circling our galaxy's center. Our galaxy (dragging the sun, the planets, and all the other stars) is moving through the universe as well.

How does the sun affect the planet's surface?

Because the sun moves around so when the sun moves around the light from the sun touches the planets

What are the things that moves around the sun?

planets and comets and asteroids

Whish moves around the sun in the solar system?

Which planet moves the most slowly in its orbit?

Of the major planets, Neptune. The speed of planets in their orbits is directly related to their distance from the sun. The farther a planet is from the Sun, the slower its orbital speed.

What is the name of the path of where all planets move around the Sun?

The path where a planet moves around the sun is called an orbit.

Who realized that the planets moves around the sun?

Issac Newton shortly after discovering the gravity theory

How do earth and other objects move in space?

The movement of the planets (inertia) moves them perpendicular to the sun at about the same rate that the gravity from the sun pulls the planets in. The gravity of the sun is a little stronger as the earth is slowly, but continuously getting closer to the sun.

What do planets orbit heliocentrically?

Because the Sun is so massive that its gravity controls all the planets. Each planet has a force pulling it towards the Sun. There is an equal and opposite force on the Sun but it is so massive it hardly moves, therefore the Sun stays at the centre.

How did nicolous copernocus and galilio find out that the earth moves around the sun?

it was very difficult to understand the retrograde motion of other planets if earth was considered to be at the center of the solar system but it could be easily explained if earth is considered to revolve around the sun along wit other planets. So explanation of retrograde motion of other planets made them realize that earth moves around the sun.
