This is not an accurate account, I am just looking in a timeline book that I have (The Timechart of Biblical History) and there are dates that they fall into and this is just a educated guess on this time line, Obed birth was about 1240 bc. and death 1155 bc. Jesse birth 1175 and his death 1085.
The English word "perennial" comes from two Latin words, "per" meaning throughout and "annus" meaning year, therefore, "perannus" which probably got changed somewhere along the line to "perannual" which became "perennial" probably through mispronunciation and lazy speaking, like so many other words in the English language.
