∙ 12y agoPontius Pilate the Roman Govenor of Jedea gave the official order to Crucify Jesus Christ. He was afraid of a riot occurring by the Jewish people if he didn't order the crucifixion of Jesus.
The Jewish sanhedrin would have killed him themselves however they were also worried about image, and it was against the law for them to commit capital punishment, only the Roman Authorities could order that.
