Around 400 BC Democritus a Greek philosopher theorized that everything was composed of small indivisible particles he called atoms or "atomos".
John Dalton was an English schoolteacher that proposed that matter is made up of tiny indivisible particles called atoms. He eve created three laws to go along with it.

Democritus
These philosophers were Leukippus and his disciple Democritus.
He simply proposed that the 'indivisible' parts of masses, known as atoms, were tiny spheres. He did no experiments to test this, but future physicists would begin to show interest in this theory and begin to evolve it further. Now, our current theory is that atoms are composed of a nucleus(where there are protons and neutrons), and energy shells(where electrons orbit the nucleus at incredibly high speeds).
1. He thought that atoms were indivisible, but we now know that they can be split into subatomic particles (protons, neutrons and electrons) 2. He also thought that atoms of a given element were all alike, but the idea of isotopes, where you have different amount of neutrons in each isotope of an atoms, that idea has also fallen out.
She proposed going to the movie, instead of the dance. He proposed by kneeling and presenting the quarter karat diamond.
it was proposed by charles darwin and albert einstein
John DaltonJohn Dalton
It was the Greek philosopher Democritus who proposed the hypothesis that matter was composed of tiny indivisible particles. Democritus also wrote on mathematical topics like geometry. He was born in 460 B.C. and died in 370 B.C.

Democritus, in the 5th century, proposed his version of atomism. States that all matter was composed of small indivisible particles called atoms.
These philosophers were Leukippus and his disciple Democritus.

Democritus believed that matter was made up of tiny, indivisible particles called atoms. These atoms were eternal and unchanging. Democritus also proposed that different physical properties and interactions among atoms resulted in the variety of substances we observe in the world.
Leucippus (450?-370? BC), was a Greek philosopher. He proposed the atomic theory of matter, that all matter is constituted of identical indivisible particles called atoms. This theory was further developed by his student, Democritus.
