Radcliffe has played Harry throughout all six films so far, although at one stage, when Steven Spielberg was being considered for directing the Harry Potter movies way back before the first one had even come out, he suggested a young American actor, Haley Joel Osment, but that didn't pan out - as JKR wanted British actors. Spielberg also wanted the movies to be animated, which was another reason why he was dropped.
